SUMMER READING for 7th GRADE ENGLISH

Here is the summer reading assignment for ALL students for August 2017:

Complete any TWO novels of your choice.

You should read two novels before the third day of school. Don’t pretend and submit the titles of books you read in elementary school.

You can turn in a paper with the titles of the books, and your name, on 7-Up Day, Monday, August 21, 2017. Or you can wait until school begins.

Here are some suggestions from the last year. You do not have to read these books — they’re just books other seventh graders really liked:

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:

Chester and Gus, Cammie McGovern;
Some Kind of Courage, and Scar Island, both by Dan Gemeinhart;
Moon Chosen, P.C. Cast;
Children of Eden, Joey Graceffa;
Ms. Bixby’s Last Day, John David Anderson;
Lockdown, Alexander Gordon Smith;
The Distance Between Lost and Found, Kathryn Holmes;
The Glittering Court, Rachel Mead;
Pax, Sara Pennypacker;
Salt to the Sea, and Between Shades of Gray, both by Ruta Sepetys;
Hiding Out at the Pancake Palace, Nan Marino;
Replica, Lauren Oliver;
